A poem dedicated to the hard work of mothering

She gives all

Everyday she stands tall

Her love is strong

protects like no other

In her baby there is no wrong

She is there when no one is present

holds your hand in times of grief

She does it all with contentment

Never let’s go no matter how strong the storm

hasn’t missed a day since you were born

She never gives up

pushes through sometimes alone

cries in her hands at night

because the father is long gone

Moves forward because she must fight on

A blessing like no other

to be called mother

the truth lies in her beauty

and motherhood will always remain her duty

she seeks no fame only love and affection
